A fine rag by the prolific rag writer James Scott, one still popular with modern pianists. James Scott was from Carthage, Missouri, later moving up to Kansas City. He is regarded as one of the best ragtime composers. This rag was published by Stark Music in St. Louis, Missouri in 1915. Original score version was from the Charles Templeton Sheet Music Collection at Mississippi State University at this link: https://scholarsjunction.msstate.edu/cht-sheet-music/5512/ This is a reproduction of this 1915 original score version, another version exists that marks the strains and bar numbers. I have added the missing repeat bars to the A strain and Trio and changed the last chord at measure 66 to match measure 27, plus a natural was added to the second C in the right hand at measures 36 & 75. Thank you to Mitchy for requesting this great score. James Scott playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWv_HHmWjvjUp9zZoKdHYNmm7F9d6pIlg |
